About Kolen Group
A South Australian group of three businesses built around commercial doors, door hardware and the carpentry that goes with them.
How the group is set up
Three businesses with different jobs, run as one team.
Kolen Carpentry
The site delivery business. Crews install doors, frames and hardware, complete the fire compliance records, receive and install FF&E and deliver the fit-out carpentry on commercial projects. It works directly for head contractors.
Making Doors
The manufacturing business. Door leaves are made in the factory, CNC machined to the door schedule and labelled with their door number before they leave, whether they are going to a Kolen crew or to another contractor.
Supplying Hardware
The supply business. It keeps crews stocked with fixings and sundries — fasteners, adhesives, sealants and everyday site consumables — for Kolen Carpentry's projects and directly for other builders and carpenters.

Everything runs off the schedule
Door, hardware and FF&E schedules are loaded before work starts, so every item is tracked from delivery to sign-off.
Compliance is recorded per door
Fire and acoustic doors each get their own inspection and test record, item by item, so the handover documentation is ready when the project is.
Factory to site, one team
When Making Doors makes the leaf, Kolen Carpentry hangs it and Supplying Hardware keeps the fixings coming, one team is responsible for the finished opening.
Built on our own systems
Progress, sign-offs and defects run through software built in-house for the way we work, and clients follow their job through the client portal.
